• Broken 6 needles
• Two of which have cut me
• Once in the shoulder (left a huge gash), once under my eye which is so tiny you can’t see it unless you’re up close in a mirror
• burnt myself twice
• pricked myself on pins/scissors >15 times
• shoved needle/pin into hands/under finger nails at least 5 times

Am I allowed to find it kinda funny that the only injuries I’ve had sewing Kyubey are minor ones from accidentally poking myself with pins? <w<

Yes and no. 
See, here’s the thing. Not everyone goes the extra mile like this post describes and they still insist their cosplay is just wonderful because they love it. Yep, that’s an ideal world. And yeah, it helps if you’re attractive, skinny, have big boobs, etc.

But if you’re unattractive, you don’t work out, etc. and you don’t try either, then don’t bitch when you end up on a fail cosplay blog. 

The purpose of that post was not to say that all cosplays are fantastic. If you don’t put any effort into it, then of course it won’t turn out well.

The post was a response to how so many times I’ve seen very attractive people wearing just a wig and being called “the best ____ cosplay I’ve ever seen!!” when they aren’t even wearing a costume, or people saying that another cosplay is bad because it is worn by someone who is “unattractive” even though the costume itself is well done.
